The Community & PR Manager position for Devolia is an exciting opportunity for an unique and talented individual who is passionate about public relations and would like to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful applicant must be highly skilled in media relations and publicity and have a demonstrated ability to place stories across all forms of media.

Working directly with the CEO, the ideal candidate will have strong relationships across all aspects of IT, professional and consumer media, have demonstrated results in securing key media placements, a good working knowledge of print and electronic media, experience drafting media lists, press and pitch materials, and tracking and analyzing media placements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, creating and executing regular media announcements and feature stories across all mediums
  • Creating and maintaining a news bureau, driving regular print, online and broadcast appearances for key in-house experts
  • Managing external communications in line with the company initiatives and goals
  • Maintaining, analyzing and distributing key media placements
  • Building and maintaining key relationships with consumer media, influencers and bloggers

Requirements include:

  • BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, English or similar field
  • PR experience, preferably in a public relations agency or in-house environment
  • Experience multi-tasking while working in a fast-paced, energetic environment
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in French is a plus
